Shiver Chiropractic and Wellness

At Shiver Chiropractic and Wellness, I really try to take the kitchen sink approach to get my patients where they want to be. I utilize Chiropractic and Chiropractic Physiotherapy techniques in harmony with other modalities in order to restore proper function to my patient's body as a whole. Incorporating nutrition-based diet and exercise weight-loss programs when needed. Chiropractic care for restoring joint function, decreasing pain and increasing range of motion. Chiropractic Physiotherapy to restore the strength and length of muscles with dysfunction or imbalances.

My goal as a Chiropractor is for my patients to move better, feel better, and live more enjoyable lives!

My interest in Chiropractic began when I was about 12. My mother was experiencing extreme TMJ and sciatica pains. Conventional doctors wanted to only treat the symptoms and not the underlying issues. They gave her pain medicines and muscle relaxers but nothing they prescribed would help. That’s when she found Chiropractic. The Chiropractor adjusted her and did soft tissue therapy to release the contracted muscles, it made all the difference in the world to her, and she’s been going to a Chiropractor ever since!

Growing up, I was very tall for my age, which came with awful “growing pains.” My neck, back and knees would ache all the time during growth spurts and going to the chiropractor helped me through that time immensely.
The holistic approach appealed to me and when I graduated from high school, I knew that I wanted to become a Chiropractor and help people find relief from pain.

Educational Experience
I received my Bachelors of Kinesiology from The University of Alabama, Roll Tide! After graduating from The University of Alabama, I went on to get my Doctor of Chiropractic in 3.5 years from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. I graduated Magna Cum Laude in December 2020.
Outside the Office

My wife, Sarah Shiver, and I have two dogs, Abby and Chewy. Abby is our 8-year-old rescue and Chewy is our 2-year-old Boxer. I love getting outside and spending time with my family, friends and dogs. In my personal time, I enjoy playing golf and working out. When the weather is nice you can’t beat a day out on Robert Trent Jones golf course, even if I do lose a sleeve or two!

My Health Habits
While attending Chiropractic college I befriended a health coach who programmed exercise and caloric intake for me. He really changed the way I viewed food and weightlifting. I try to be as healthy as I can by eating right and working out 3-4 times a week. I always start my mornings off with a multivitamin and a protein shake. I get adjusted at least once a week just to make sure I’m moving the best that I can!
